Product Description

Tea saponin, also known as tea saponin, is a type of glycoside compound extracted from tea tree seeds (tea seeds, tea seeds). The pure product is white fine columnar crystals with strong hygroscopicity. Tea saponin products are generally light yellow fine powder.

Nutritional Value:

Tea saponin belongs to the pentacyclic triterpenoid oleanane saponin, which is composed of three parts: sugar body, ligand and organic acid. Its ligand is oleanolic acid, the sugar body is mainly composed of glucose, galactose, arabinose, etc., and the organic acid part includes fatty acids, etc. This complex structure gives tea saponin unique chemical and physical properties. Tea saponin is surface active, and its molecules contain both hydrophilic sugar body part and hydrophobic ligand part, which can reduce surface tension in aqueous solution and form stable foam. It also has a certain chemical stability, but under the conditions of strong acid, strong alkali or high temperature, chemical reactions such as hydrolysis may occur, resulting in changes in structure and performance.

Function:

Tea saponin is a sugar compound extracted from the seeds of the Camellia plant. It belongs to the saponin class and is a natural non-ionic surfactant. According to tests, tea saponin has good emulsification, dispersion, foaming, wetting and other functions, and has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-penetration and other pharmacological effects. Tea saponin products are light yellow fine powders and are widely used in the production of washing, wool spinning, knitting, medicine, daily chemical industries, etc. It is used as a wetting agent and suspending agent in solid pesticides, as a synergist and spreader in emulsifiable concentrate pesticides, and can also be directly used as a biological pesticide.

Application

Aquaculture field:

Water quality improvement: Tea saponin powder can be used in aquaculture to enhance water quality by reducing the levels of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and other harmful substances.

Fish feed additive: Tea saponin powder can be added to fish feed to enhance growth, improve immunity, and increase disease resistance in fish.

Farming Shrimp Pond Cleaning:

Commonly used in aquaculture to remove unwanted fish and harmful insects from ponds.

Tea saponin powder detoxifies quickly in water and is harmless to humans who use it. It leaves no built-up residue and is ready to use.

Tea saponin powder prevents blackgill shrimp disease and controls parasites while improving molting and growth.

Tea saponin powder to its hemolytic effect on fish (3ppm-5ppm works well), it can be used as a pond cleaner to kill them without harming the shrimp.

Security:

A large number of studies have shown that tea saponin has a high safety profile. Acute toxicity tests have shown that tea saponin has low toxicity to animals and a high oral median lethal dose (LD₅₀). In subchronic and chronic toxicity tests, tea saponin was not found to have significant adverse effects on animal growth and development, blood biochemical indicators, and tissue pathology. In addition, tea saponin has no obvious teratogenic, carcinogenic, or mutagenic effects. Therefore, within the scope of reasonable use, tea saponin is a safe and reliable natural compound.
